From CryptoDox, The Online Encyclopedia on Cryptography and Information Security

CryptoDox 2.0
CryptoDox is being revived with a renewed focus in October 2007. The following activities have been done:
- Migration to MediaWiki 1.11 completed.
- Migration to MySQL 5 (from 4.0.27) completed.
- The phpBB discussion forum has been retired.
- CryptoDox has been given a new theme. This will give CryptoDox an image of its own; rather than having a theme (MonoBook) which is just about used by all MediaWiki powered sites.
The following major task is still pending:
- A one time effort of taking the Wikipedia Crypto portal dump will start soon. All CryptoDox pages will overlay over that. This is just to ensure that we have something good to start off with. To achieve this, a custom tool is being written. The Wikipedia pages should be available on this site by 15th October '07.
Issues faced after migration
- Interwiki links not working correctly. [FIXED]
- User profiles updated to reflect the new skin. Warnings were being seen prior to this fix [FIXED].
- SVG images do not work since libwmf is not supported by the server hosting provider. I believe libwmf is in alpha/beta stage and hence not supported currently by the hosting provider. What alternatives do we have of getting SVG to work on CryptoDox? FYI: libwmf is used internally by ImageMagick. [OPEN]
